Over the past year, ACSMH has taken significant steps to connect and engage with the Assyrian, Chaldean, and Syriac communities. From hosting mental health workshops in Duhok with the Mar Narsay Church Youth Group to collaborating with organizations like the Assyrian Student Association of Chicago, our goal has been to build trust and raise awareness about mental health.
These initiatives emphasized open dialogue, fostering a sense of unity while addressing community-specific struggles such as stigma, generational trauma, and cultural expectations. Events have provided a safe space for sharing experiences and breaking the silence around mental health concerns.
This Christmas season, we invite you to be part of our mission by participating in upcoming workshops and contributing to our community-focused programs. Together, we can ensure no one faces these challenges alone.
Join us in creating a stronger, healthier community.
