Mission Statement
ACS Mental Health (ACSMH) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to advancing mental health and reducing stigma within Assyrian, Chaldean, Syriac community worldwide.
Through its REACH framework—Research, Education, Awareness, Collaboration, and Healing—ACSMH combines community-based research, culturally responsive education, professional and organizational partnerships, mental-health resources, and community programming to address the unique cultural, historical, spiritual, and social factors that influence mental well-being.
ACSMH is building a culturally grounded mental-health infrastructure for the community: identifying needs through research, translating findings into education and advocacy, connecting individuals with professionals and resources, strengthening partnerships across the diaspora and homeland, and creating spaces where conversations about mental health can happen without shame.
"Everything needs a mind and the mind needs to be tested."
